for everyone
A dark, very elegant deck by Joseph Vargo. I use this deck most often for past lives readings. It seems to lend itself very well for that purpose.

Just wanted to let you know that I've just discovered your wonderful site. Thank you, it's superbl! It's so interesting to see clear pictures of the decks and read informed comments about them. On the basis of this site I've just decided to splurge out on the Ciro Tarot of Dreams. I was verging on getting the Favole Tarot, I LOVE the artwork, but your comments about cardstock and the fact that the artwork has been rather shoe-horned into a Tarot format, rather put me off. (I do like the symbolism in the cards to be relevant and thought-out).

(I have 24 sets of Tarot cards myself...(once you start collecting, it's hard to stop. *G*) My personal favourite at the moment is the "Gothic Tarot of the Vampires", lovely artwork, and the booklet's idea that the vampire is a metaphor for the alienated modern self, made it more than just a gimmick.)

Thanks for visiting! And, oh boy do I ever hear you on the "once you start it's hard to stop" part! ;-)

Very good choice on the Tarot of Dreams. It's definitely a must have. No problems with card stock or symbolism on that one. Ciro Marchetti is a Tarot enthusiast and puts a lot of time and study into each image he creates.

The Favole is a nice collector's item if one is a fan of the artist, but given that she herself was not involved in the creation of the deck it lacks substance. I have to confess I have not felt the need to work with it since I wrote that review.

Enjoy the Tarot of Dreams. If you like it you will definitely enjoy the new deck Ciro is working on as we speak. You can find a lot of images of his new project in this thread at aeclectic.net:

Enjoy. :-D
